Advanced machinery and modern technology are utilized in a precision-controlled environment at the Polisetty plant. We are the only tobacco threshing plant in the world to employ a 10 NTRM laser sorting process. Our fully automated processes allow us to produce only the highest-quality products.

Superior Production Capacity

We have a dedicated storage area of 468,000 sq.ft capacity for green tobacco across 12 warehouses, which is stored in metal pallets. We also have an additional 116,400 sq.ft storage area for finished and packed products and a north-light inspection hall of 28,200 sq.ft.

We constantly strive to employ state-of-the-art technology to increase the storage capacity and ensure full and optimum utilization of available storage resources.

Our plant has advanced classifiers, threshers, and a fully automised press for processing the final product. The factory is well-equipped with PLC control systems that meets international standards. We offer a choice of export packing with imported material tailored to the customer’s needs. The factory’s automated packaging system ensures tobacco is sealed with precise moisture control measures.

  • High Grade: 14 Tonnes/hour

Raw tobacco as per blend ratio received from classification points

Three feed tables are provided, each equipped with 10 feed stations, resulting in a total of 30 feed stations. These tables are designed to accommodate Single, Double (3″ x 3″), and Triple tipping (2″ x 2″ x 2″) options. The system is enhanced with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) capabilities, allowing precise control over the speed of the feed tables.

Conditioning Cylinders

The Direct Conditioning cylinder (DCC) is used to provide the best loosening, opening and uniform conditioning of all types of Tobacco leaf. It is customised such that the very best processing results can be achieved for each individual grade of tobacco.

The following customised options are incorporated:

  • Variable cylinder rotational speed.
  • Fully heated discharge hood.
  • Re-circulation of hot air.

The above options allows the provision of first class conditioned product that benefits the production throughout the process.

Polisetty’s state-of-the-art processing line at Chinakondrupadu, Guntur- reaches optimum productivity levels in throughput and yields, besides ensuring superior product quality.

This processing line now represents the global benchmark for green leaf threshing plants, in line with the company’s continuing commitment to world-class quality.

High Efficiency Rollers

This Machine is very efficient in removing small-sized Non-Tobacco Related Material, plastic, and Hessian Strings.

Laser Sorters

The Helius Free Fall Laser sorter represents cutting-edge technology, enabling the removal of foreign materials and contaminants that are imperceptible to the human eye. It has become a well-established and proven solution in the tobacco industry, particularly for sorting Non-Tobacco Related Materials (NTRM).

Its primary advantage is its exceptional sorting efficiency, especially at high tobacco flow rates.

Lamina Dryer

Our tobacco dryer, built on the proven principles of the GLT Plant leaf and strip tobacco re-dryer, is optimized for efficient tobacco processing. Operating with individual low-temperature drying zones, controlled humidity, and exhaust, it ensures optimal energy usage for maximum efficiency.

The system includes a fully Automatic Lamina Dryer with an SS Punch Plate Apron and boasts a drying capacity of 10,000 kilograms per hour.

Metal Detector

Ensuring the highest hygiene standards, a pre-packing metal detector, powered by Eddy Current technology   meticulously scans for any traces of metallic contamination in lamina, stem, and scrap tobacco.

Auto Press

The tobacco weight on the charger is measured with precision, achieving an accuracy of +/- 1 kg.

The system includes automatic charger insertion into cartons and operates with total automation, managed by a programmable logic control unit (PLC).

The packing line is equipped with an electronic scale for final weight checks, a hold-down/sample press, a hold-down tunnel, and an automatic strapper, ensuring a comprehensive and efficient packaging process.

Capacity : 50 Cartons per Hour.

Solar Power Generator

Mahindra Solarize, India, provided our rooftop solar plant installed on the roof of the facility. This solar power generation initiative significantly contributes to environmental sustainability by effectively reducing the carbon footprint.
