Data smart decision making to improve overall sustainability performance

Sustainability Reporting Challenges

The supply chain’s many stages, including sourcing, warehousing, operations, logistics, and
distribution, are all touched by PSS’s presence. To tackle the following difficulties, an effective
automated system is set up with little operator involvement to account for and monitor all the
environmental parameters:

● It takes several levels of cooperation to compile the data from several places.
● The source of the data cannot be tracked.
● human inaccuracy in data entry and manual calculation.

Data from many sources, including energy and water meters devices, transactional data and
application DBs such as solar power generation, are combined in PSS’s Environmental Dashboard. In
order to collect near to real-time data from across the supply chain and report PSS’s sustainability
performance comprehensively, the company sought customized solutions.

Dashboard as a solution:
The dashboard has accelerated the process of collecting accurate data points remotely across
multiple facilities integrating devices such as meters and smart applications with the least amount of
reliance on human interventions and publishing trustworthy dashboards to track the progress of
environmental initiatives; having a thorough view of key performance indicators (KPIs) with over
90% accuracy on Clean Energy Generation, Energy Efficiency, Water Efficiency & Treatment, Waste
Management, Food Travel Miles and full-fledged GHG Inventory available to benchmark past and
present performance, identify anomalies and holistically report sustainability performance.
